The actual polished game on the PC, not the unfinished Original Xbox Port that has over a million problems. Acclaim did finish this game, there were PS1 and N64 ports, but they weren't as good as the PC build.

In fact, the Original Xbox port that never got finished is identical to the PC Build, very identical, but in this case, PC is still better, especially since there are unofficial patches and new user made maps that can be added into it. So the only thing that's in Alpha here is the patch, this patch is mandatory in order for it to run right on a modern computer. I know the patch is in Alpha, but honestly, it's all stable, I haven't had one crash or one problem since I applied it. Of course, I installed the game with a 1207 patch so it doesn't require a CD, but that patch removed the music, so I had to dig to find the music files and this alpha patch applied to it made the music work.

The game itself is very fun, in fact there is an iOS and Android Version for $6, I got the iOS version, needless to say, I prefer the PC version more especially since I can play it with an Xbox 360 controller. Don't judge how I play this game until you play it yourself! This is not an easy racing game, your AI opponents will do whatever they can to make sure you stay behind, and the new user maps don't help either, they get confusing, so do some of the stock maps included in the game, but aside from me being terrible at this game, it is still a lot of fun. It's probably the only game from 1999 that really holds up to today's standards, and that right there is an amazing achievement, too bad the company that made it possible closed down due to bankruptcy. Available for the player there is weapons such as fireworks shooted towards other cars or a shooting star, when fired, flips every car wildly around it passes close by.

The game also features a very easy to use track editor to build your own tracks from a selection of track pieces. (I have a video) Although Acclaim Entertainment is now defunct, fans continue to make cars and tracks for the game. Recently a source code of the game has been acquired by the fans and the game is now being actively updated and improved. Also a demo disc containing a stripped down version of Re-Volt was issued to beta testers of the original Xbox Live service prior to it's launch.

Much to the disappointment of the fans, a more complete version was never released for the Xbox. Also, there's something in development (Using Unreal SDK) called Re-Volt Overcharged. It's been quiet for the last two years but an alpha version is downloadable featuring this track. 9 лет назад Well I have this game for Nintendo 64, but I also found out it was for the PC, and I wanted to do a gameplay video of this game on the N64, but my camcorder can't record my N64, so I decided to download the PC version of the game to do it. The PC version has better graphics than the N64 version, also it has 8 cars per race instead of 4, and a few other features r different, but pretty much every other aspect is still the same.
